The optimal fluidization air volume of a CFB boiler is the minimum fluidization air volume (primary air volume) determined by maintaining full fluidization and ideal bed temperature. The optimal fluidization air volume increases with the increase of the boiler load. It is generally believed that the primary air volume can not be increased at a load above 65%, so that the highest possible secondary air rate can be obtained to achieve the ideal air staging for efficient combustion, and reduce the original generation of NOx.
